A survey can reveal boundary, access, and improvement issues that a title commitment does not explain by itself. Review the survey clause and the actual drawing together.
Read the requirement
Extract who orders the survey, who pays, which survey standard applies, and when objections are due. Compare the legal description and visible improvements with the survey.
Track the resolution
Index each encroachment, easement, setback, or boundary concern and link it to a notice, response, amendment, or accepted exception. Preserve the final survey used at closing.
Sources and limitations
Survey rights depend on contract wording and local practice. This is issue spotting, not legal advice.
